FBI seeking patients, victims of woman accused of posing as fake doctor
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The FBI is looking for patients and possible victims of a woman accused of posing as a fake doctor in several states.
According to a notice issued last week, the FBI identified Mary Blakley, 75, as a suspect who operated “body scan” clinics throughout the United States from 2011 to the present. Blakley is accused of posing as a doctor and/or a PhD, starting in 2002 through December 2024.
The FBI stated that Blakley operated clinics with her husband, Floyd “Fred” Blakley, most recently in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah.
Blakley is known to use various names, including Blakely, Blakleley, Blakeley, Blankley, Cammer, Davis, Petry, Shjlom, and Venable. She is known to use various first names, including Marye, Marye Yvonnea, Rosemary, Rose Mary, Rose, and Yvonne.
Their body scan businesses also operate under a variety of names: Sonic Waves Research, Living Well Ministry, Living Well Health Club, Living Well Warriors, The Blakley Foundation, Health Screenings 4 Life, Health Scans 4 Life, Health Screening 4 Life, Health Screens 4 Life, and London Bridge Wellness Center.
The FBI says the Blakleys operated a fraudulent scheme where Mary conducted “full-body scans” at their clinics, in which they claimed to “detect, treat, and cure various illnesses, including cancer, using an ultrasound machine.”
The Blakleys are also accused of prescribing and selling various products to treat and cure the illnesses they diagnosed.
If you have information relevant to this ongoing investigation or believe you or a family member may have been a patient of Mary Blakley, the FBI requests that you complete this short form.
The FBI is legally mandated to identify victims of federal crimes it investigates. Identified victims may be eligible for certain services and rights under federal and/or state law.
It is important to note that an indictment is merely a charge and should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
