Blustery MLK Day Ahead
Morning,
We’re kicking off the week with the chilliest temperatures of the season in Las Vegas. Daytime highs will trend 5 to 10 degrees below average, and strong northerly winds will make it feel even colder. If you’re heading out to the MLK Day parade, prepare for gusty conditions.
Winds will begin picking up around the parade’s start, with gusts possibly exceeding 30 mph by the time it wraps up.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Lower Colorado River Valley from Monday morning through Tuesday evening as a strong shortwave low moves through the region. Tuesday will likely be the coldest day of the season so far.
Highs will struggle to climb out of the low 50s, and overnight lows are expected to dip into the upper 20s. We’re keeping an eye on the potential for a Hard Freeze Warning, so stay tuned for updates.
