Wife, off-duty Las Vegas Metro officer involved in Boulder City shooting
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Las Vegas Metro police are investigating an officer-involved shooting involving an off-duty officer and his wife Friday morning.
The shooting occurred in the 700 block of 6th Street, near Boulder City High School, at 9:42 a.m.

According to LVMPD Boulder City requested assistance from Metro police after someone was found dead in the front yard of a home.
Detectives reported the off-duty officer and his wife were inside their home when they heard commotion coming from a neighbor’s backyard.
The couple witnessed a man on top of a woman punching and strangling her. As the wife called 911, the off-duty officer separated the pair involved in the altercation.
Police said the off-duty officer brought the woman to his front yard where his wife was located. The man then followed the group.
The off-duty officer told the male individual to stay away from the group or they would shoot him. He proceeded to ignore those commands which led to the off-duty officer and his wife to fire their weapons, striking the man.
The man died on their front yard.
No officers from either department were injured, and Boulder City High School was never placed on lockdown.
