CCSD officer faces charges related to the death of his K9 Marley

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A Clark County School District employee is facing animal abuse related charges.
According to CCSD 54-year-old James Harris is facing two misdemeanor charges for failure to provide his K9 with food, shelter, and water while unattended in a car.
According to officials an investigation began in Nov. 2024 following the unexpected death of CCSDPD K-9 Marley.
Harris has been employed as a CCSDPD K9 officer since Jan. 2003.
Officials say Harris is assigned to stay home with pay.
