Model homes for Three Kids Mine space planned for 2026

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Cleanup continues for Three Kids Mine area where 3,000 homes could be built.
The manganese mine, operational from 1917 to 1961, left behind toxic metals and asbestos throughout the site.

According to a progress report, the asbestos removal should be complete by the first quarter of 2025.
Model homes are also expected to be complete by 2026.
Toxic tailings are also expected to be removed by the end of February.
