Nevada sees 2% year-over-year increase in gaming revenue for December 2024

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - 2024 closed out on a high note for the Nevada gaming industry.

According to new data from the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the state saw a 2% increase in year-over-year gaming revenue for December 2024.

The biggest increase out of Southern Nevada came from the Boulder Strip, which saw a nearly 30% increase in revenue. The next highest increase came out of Laughlin with a more than 9% increase, and downtown would follow with an 8% increase.

Up north, Reno and South Lake Tahoe saw nearly 20% increases in gaming revenue.

The biggest losses were seen in the balance of Washoe County and Wendover, reporting 13% and 11% decreases, respectively.
