LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Mothership Coffee Roasters is serving up coffee with accessibility and inclusion on the menu.

Mothership Coffee Roasters has partnered with the Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation to develop a new braille menu for their visually impaired customers.

They unveiled the braille menu Monday night at Mothership Coffee’s St. Rose location in Henderson.

“I think it’s very important. It allows me the ability to maintain my independence instead of having to wait on someone to read the menu for me,” said Rená Smith, who is visually impaired and translated the menu to braille for Mothership Coffee.

January is also Braille Literacy Month, highlighting the importance of making everyday tasks — like ordering your morning coffee — accessible for all.

The braille menus are now available at 10 Mothership Coffee Roasters locations across the Las Vegas valley.
