Las Vegas police arrest suspect in death of woman found in freezer
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Las Vegas police arrested a suspect after discovering a woman’s body in a freezer Wednesday night.
Police were on scene near Vegas Valley Drive and Nellis Boulevard Wednesday evening responding to a welfare check.
Metro says they got a call about a missing woman around 11:40 a.m., who had not been seen since late October. The caller said the 68-year-old woman used to walk her dog regularly in the neighborhood.
When police arrived at the scene, no one answered the door. Officers entered to look for the missing woman.
Officers saw two people in the home “acting suspicious” and said they did not know where the missing woman was. Both people inside were detained.
Metro searched the mobile home and found a locked freezer. Police called for a locksmith to open the freezer.
Once the freezer was open, Metro said they found the remains of the missing woman. LVMPD is trying to find out the last time she was last seen alive.

Police arrested 37-year-old Daniel Roush for open murder. Police accuse him of being involved in the victim’s death. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
FOX5 is looking more into the identity of Roush. According to online posts, the suspect may identify differently.
Police are continuing to look for witnesses and video in the area.
The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
