LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A 42-year-old man died nearly a month after a crash in east Las Vegas.

Las Vegas police said the crash happened on Nellis Boulevard and Twain Avenue Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 11:51 p.m. between a vehicle and an e-scooter rider.

Police said a 26-year-old woman drove a Ford Fusion southbound on Nelis approaching Twain. At the same moment, the rider was on a west sidewalk of Nellis.

For reasons not known, police said the rider entered the southbound travel lanes of Nellis and into the path of the Fusion.

A crash happened when the front of the Fusion struck the left side of the scooter and pedestrian.

Medical arrived and transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Trauma. The driver of the Fusion stayed at the scene and was not impaired, police say.

LVMPD’s Fatal Detail team did not respond that day.

On Saturday, Feb. 1, the Clark County coroner notified police that the 42-year-old died Jan. 22. He died at the hospital.

“The pedestrian’s death marks the 18th traffic-related collision for 2025,” police said. “This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.”
