North Las Vegas police investigate road rage shooting

A shooting investigation has shut down a North Las Vegas intersection Tuesday morning.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A possible road rage shooting investigation has shut down a North Las Vegas intersection Tuesday morning.

According to North Las Vegas Police Department, the shooting occurred in the area of Cheyenne Avenue and Simmons Street.

Police says two people were involved in a road rage incident while driving east on Cheyenne. The situation escalated at the intersection where NLVPD believe one person was injured.

One person was taken to UMC in critical condition.

The intersection will remain closed until the investigation is complete. At this time no arrests have been made.

NLVPD says additional details will be provided as they become available.
