LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Las Vegas Raiders have reached a deal with their next head coach.

Sources tell FOX5 that the Raiders have reached an agreement on a three-year deal, with a fourth-year option, with former Seattle Seahawks and USC head coach Pete Carroll.

Carroll, 73, will become the 10th head coach hired by the Raiders since 2004. He sat out of the 2024 season after a 14-year run in Seattle that saw the Seahawks win a Super Bowl and compete for another.

Carroll also led the USC Trojans to seven straight Pac-10 championships and two AP national titles. This would make him one of three men to win on both the collegiate and NFL levels.

Carroll will be joining recently hired general manager John Spytek to lead the Silver and Black, succeeding Antonio Pierce who was fired after only one season.

Neither the Raiders nor the NFL have commented on the news.
