LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - U.S. Marshals arrested an alleged MS-13 gang member in Las Vegas Sunday on charges related to a Utah robbery.

The suspect has been identified as Dennis Solares-Garcia, 39, who is accused of robbing a store identified as Tiendita Luzita MiniMarket in St. George, Utah. According to Marshals, Solares-Garcia wielded a firearm and fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

St. George police requested help from the U.S. Marshals Service, who later located Solares-Garcia in Las Vegas. Additional information revealed that the suspect had been previously deported, and was allegedly a member of MS-13.

Solares-Garcia was arrested on the Strip around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, and taken to Clark County Detention Center.

U.S. Marshal Gary Schofield said, “An MS-13 gang member responsible for a violent crime was removed from the community today. Thanks to the diligent investigative work of all involved agencies, he can no longer pose a threat.”

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
