Knight Hawks Quarterback Ja’Rome Johnson Named IFL Offensive Player Of The Week

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) -The Indoor Football League announced today, April 17, that Vegas Knight Hawks quarterback Ja’Rome Johnson has been named the league’s Offensive Player of the Week for Week 5 of the IFL season.
Johnson earns the honor for the second time this season, having also been named Offensive Player of the Week in Week 2.
In a 66-44 Knight Hawks victory over the San Antonio Gunslingers, Johnson completed 11 of 13 passes for 160 yards and four touchdowns. He was also the game’s leading rusher, running for 57 yards and three touchdowns.
Johnson ranks fourth in the IFL with 422 passing yards, and he’s tied for fifth overall with nine passing touchdowns. He leads the IFL with 219 rushing yards and ranks third with seven rushing touchdowns.
The Knight Hawks’ signal-caller becomes the third Vegas player to earn Player of the Week honors twice in the same season, joining quarterback Daquan Neal in 2023 and quarterback Jerod Evans in 2022.
The Knight Hawks visit the Jacksonville Sharks on Saturday at Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena, with kick-off scheduled for 4:05 p.m. PT. The game will be broadcast on radio on 1230AM The Game and streamed on YouTube.
