For the second time this week, a new daily record high temperature was set in Las Vegas. Tuesday’s high temperature soar to 78° in Las Vegas, surpassing the 72 year old previous record of 76°, set back in 1953. The average high this time of year is 61°.
Las Vegas set a new daily high record with the warm up on Monday afternoon. By 3pm, temperatures soared to 80° in Las Vegas, surpassing the previous 77° record set back in 2018. On average, the first 80° day in Las Vegas is not felt until March 14th. The earliest 80° on record in Las Vegas February 1, 2003.

An area of low pressure spinning over Northern Arizona keeps us mostly cloudy and cool. A few isolated sprinkles are possible through the afternoon with highs in the mid to low 50s. Warmer and drier weather is the story for the rest of the week.
Monday started out looking like winter wonderland to the south of Las Vegas, down I-15 towards Southern California near the area of Primm in Mountain Pass. Aside from some gloomy skies and light sprinkles, most of the Las Vegas Valley remained dry. A slight chance of light showers remains in the forecast as the system moved out of the region through Tuesday.

We’re kicking off the week with the chilliest temperatures of the season in Las Vegas. Daytime highs will trend 5 to 10 degrees below average, and strong northerly winds will make it feel even colder.
Seasonable temperatures will take us through Saturday, with forecast high temperatures in the low 60s, upper 50s. Skies will remain mostly sunny into this weekend as well, as we remain locked in a dry pattern through next week. The First Alert is up for early next week when the coldest temperatures so far this season drop morning lows into the low 30s, upper 20s throughout the region.
